The once prosperous Mayan civilization is on the path to decadence. Squads of men raid villages in search of victims to sacrifice to their bloodthirsty gods. Jaguar Paw, village chief, leads a peaceful existence with his people. Until the day Mayan soldiers invade and pillage their lands. Taken prisoner, he is taken to a Mayan city to be put to death.
