The kingdoms of Lockland and Delphi have been at war for nearly three centuries. In order to avoid imminent defeat, the king of Lockland calls upon the court sorcerer to summon the sacred animal adorning the kingdom's emblem: the griffin, a fabulous creature half lion, half eagle. But the sorcerer, driven by a diabolical personal ambition, will betray his king.
