Alice Kinney, daughter of a famous Hollywood director, has just separated. To start her new life in style, she decides to leave New York for her hometown of Los Angeles with her two daughters. On the night of her 40th birthday, she parties in bars with her girlfriends. She then meets three young men whom she ends up welcoming into her home.
