Water For Elephants

The Great Depression is raging in the United States. Having had to abandon his veterinary studies after the death of his parents, Jacob inadvertently finds himself on a train owned by August, the evil owner of a circus. After gaining the trust of his host, the young man is given responsibility for the health of the animals. It is there that he falls under the spell of his boss's pretty wife, Marlena, who is tasked with riding the troupe's new main attraction: an elephant who does as he pleases.
