Betty is married to Moody Mahmoody, an Americanized Iranian doctor with whom she has a daughter, Mahtob. After the fall of the Shah of Iran, Moody wants to take his family on vacation to his house. Worried about the explosive climate and the danger the Americans are in, Betty lets herself be convinced.
