Amir is a Pashtun and the son of the master, while Hassan, the son of the servant, belongs to the Hazara ethnic group, dominated and oppressed since forever. In 1975, during the traditional kite tournament, everything changes: Amir witnesses, passively, a terrible attack against Hassan. Eaten up with guilt and ashamed of his cowardice, he will prefer, perfidiously, to accuse him wrongly and keep him away from him. Faced with the demons of the past, it is not easy to find the path to redemption...
