Les Quatre Plumes / The Four Feathers

In 1875, a British officer resigned from his post just after learning of his regiment's plan to leave for Sudan as part of the conflict with the Mahdi. After this decision, his friends and fiancée sent him four white feathers, which symbolize cowardice. To redeem his honor, he disguises himself as an Arab and secretly saves the lives of those who called him a coward.
