Christmas 1985, in the suburbs of Boston. A lonely little boy, John Bennett, 8 years old, dreams of only one thing: to finally have a friend. When his parents give him a teddy bear, he is overjoyed. He nicknames him Ted and expresses the wish that his teddy bear comes to life. And, a little Christmas miracle, when he wakes up, John realizes that Ted has indeed come to life. Thirty years later, John and Ted are still the best of friends.
