Seasoned war photographers, Mark and David are on a mission in Kurdistan. While the former decides to stay there for a few more days in search of the shot that could make him famous, the latter can no longer stand the daily violence and despair. Above all, he wants to go home to find his wife Diane, who is expecting a child. Seriously injured, Mark ends up in a field hospital, before being repatriated to Dublin, where he learns that David has disappeared.
