At the end of the 21st century, a disease causing a genetic mutation creates a new race of humans. Fearing their numbers and growing power, the government locks them up and makes them undergo terrible tests before deciding to eliminate them. Only one woman, Violet, infected by the disease, is determined to protect her people, and to take revenge on those who created these new humans. Her only hope rests on Six, a strange little ten-year-old boy.
